Richard Unger is a NYC-based animator and recent college graduate from the Savannah College of Art and Design. His vision and craft are at the intersection of animation and puppetry, with a goal of understanding the relationship between moving image and the consumer. His artistic ethos focuses on minimizing the use and reliance of technology, and returning to a more humanistic and relatable artistic experience while innovating and moving forward simultaneously. Richard implements his passion of theater, and its use of puppetry in both traditional and contemporary senses, into his theatrical arts, puppetry both traditional and contemporary traditional/experimental animation, and into his work and vision.
